- Traditional Braces: Traditional braces are an effective way to align your teeth. Brackets are placed on the teeth and a wire attaches to the brackets to move the teeth into an ideal position. The elastics are periodically changed, giving you the opportunity to personalize your braces to match your favorite colors, sports teams, and holidays.
- White Braces: White or ceramic braces offer an esthetic alternative to traditional metal braces.
- Iconix Braces: Iconix braces are an elegant alternative to traditional and white braces. They retain durability and efficiency of traditional braces while providing improved aesthetics. - Early Orthodontic Intervention: The AAO recommends an orthodontic consultation no later than age 7. While not all children need early treatment, some children benefit greatly with early intervention. Certain malocclusions, such as crowding or a crossbite, can be more easily corrected at an earlier age. Dr. Nic can evaluate your child's occlusion to determine whether early intervention is indicated or if treatment can wait until more permanent teeth are present. Early intervention appliances can guide jaw growth, lower the risk of trauma due to protruded front teeth, guide permanent teeth into a more favorable position, and can improve your child's appearance and self-esteem.
